The Nash and Trinity show
This past weekend (August 21st) my Mom and Nash and I traveled about nine and a half hours to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to visit my cousin Carie and her daughter Trinity. My Aunt Pat was also there visiting as an added bonus. It was a long drive and the time went fast but we had lots of fun. Carie and Pat have some good group photos from the weekend that I will have to post when I get a hold of one. Nash turned 18 months old on August 23rd!!! Trinity turned 2 in June.

A day full of FUN!
Saturday was so much fun! First, we slept in. We are still trying to get over the tail end of these colds. Then we met Nana and Papa for a boat ride on the Mississippi. Nash loved being in the water when we got to the beach.

After Nash took a quick nap, we went to the Mississippi Valley Fair to see the animals!
Goats and cows and bunnies...OH MY!

The cold bug strikes AGAIN!
So here we are again sick with colds. Nash started to get a runny nose last Monday morning and we have been going through boxes of tissue ever since. He had a little bit of a fever that we were able to manage with tylenol. He has a cough but overall is doing very well. Jason came down with a sore throat shortly after that but he has been hanging in there too. As for me, since I'm eating for two, I'm apparently sick for two as well. I don't remember having a cold this bad in a long time. I can't take much for it because of the pregnancy so it seems to just be gradually running it's course. As always, it started in my throat, went to my chest and has now settled into my head. We are going through lots of kleenex and tylenol lately! The good news is...since I last posted my restless leg problem has been much better. Now I just can't breathe! :0)
I finally ordered my camera yesterday after lots of computer researching. I had to have Jason next to me for moral support as I clicked the "checkout" button. I have a hard time spending money and making decisions, which is Jason's forte. :0) I settled on the Canon SX10 IS so I'm really hoping I like it. I'm excited for it to get here!
Just a quick update on Nash...he is able to count to three (with a little coaxing). Everything used to be "lellow" and now everything it "bue." He loves to dip his food in ketchup. He wants to be outside ALL the time. The other day he found the sprinkler when he was outside with Jason. He came in soaking wet saying "rain!" He squats down by the doggy water dish and pretends he is lapping up water like Daizy and Memphis do.

LOST!
May digital camera broke last week and as you can imagine...I'm lost without it. I think I might upgrade to a nicer camera with quick shutter speed and lots of zoom. I think that might come in handy for taking pictures of kids...especially when Jason signs Nash up for soccer one of these days. :0) I don't know a lot about cameras but I've been doing a little bit of research. I'm a little overwhelmed and not quite sure which one is right for me. I'm hoping the experts at the camera store can help me make a good choice. I think I'll go tonight so I don't miss any more "kodak moments!"
A Visit from Great Grandma Erna
Great Grandma Erna came to Iowa for a week at the beginning of July to spend some time with us and we had such a great time with her. We went to a water ski show, went for a pontoon ride, visited the Family Museum, went out for dinner, fed the ducks in the Mississippi and of course, read lots of BOOKS! We miss her already!
