Red shoes

This past weekend Nash was co-ring bearer in a wedding for a special family friend.  He was so excited to wear his red shoes!

Congratulations to Kylie (Hodgeman) and Rob Sandor.

On Friday we drove to Oskaloosa, Iowa, for the rehearsal and Groom's dinner.  We drove through some pretty nasty storms to get to our hotel in Pella.  On Saturday we woke up and went swimming in the hotel pool.
My goal was to wear Nash out so he would take an early nap.

Pictures were scheduled for 1:45 although we were given some extra time.  Nash finally went to sleep about 1:15 and we had to wake him up at 2:30 to get to the church in time for a few pictures at 3pm.  Needless to say he was a little grouchy.  Luckily I had packed a few new "Cars" toys as bribery.  All we needed to do was get him down the isle.  Jason stayed back with Nash and I went and sat at the front of the church in case he needed some coaching.  He and his co-ring bearer Abe did great.  They held hands and got to the front of the church just fine.

When Nash turned around and saw all of the people staring at him, he started to cry.  Abe started dancing.  It was pretty cute.  Jason sat in the play room with Nash and Nolan while I watched the happy bride and groom tie the knot.  The reception was a lot of fun.  We finally dragged Nash off the dance floor around 10:30 I think.  What a party animal!  We were grateful to be a part of Kylie and Rob's big weekend!
