Hiccup

On Saturday we hit the 17 week mark.  It's going by a little faster now that I'm feeling better.  Still tired but that probably has more to do with the two already here than the one on the way  :0)  According to baby center, Hiccup is the size of a turnip and weighs about 5 oz.  I have been feeling very subtle movement but not definite enough to convince myself it was the baby for sure.  Won't be long now though.  We had an appointment last Wednesday but the doctors were running behind.  We waited 50 minutes for a 3 minute appointment.  Our next appointment is scheduled for March 20th and that will be our 20 week ultrasound!

The boys are getting excited about the baby too.  They keep changing their minds about whether they think they are getting a brother or a sister.  We are strongly considering finding out this time even though we waited with both boys.  Something different since Hiccup will more than likely complete our family.

I love these boys!

Silly and slippery

Nolan
Everyone has been commenting lately about how chatty Nolan is becoming.  His vocabulary has expanded and he is voicing his opinion.  He's a pretty happy guy!  He's social like his brother and says "Hi" to most people we pass by.
Nash
**Nash spent the night at Nana and Papa's one night.  He had told me he wanted me to pick him up in the morning.  The next morning he told Nana that I was planning to pick up him pretty early.  Nana told him she was sad because she wanted him to stay longer.  He said, "Nana, I don't want to see any tears."

**Nash was talking about turning 4 and then we started talking about my age.  He said, "I will be your age some day."  I told him he had to graduate from high school and college first.  He said, "I want to go to High School.  I'm gonna need a pencil."

Happy 4th Birthday Nash!

Nash turned 4 on February 23rd.  He has been talking about turning 4 for quite some time now, so when the big day finally arrived, he was so happy!  Nash and Nolan spent the night at Nana and Papa's house the night before.  When Nash woke up, Nana started singing Happy Birthday to him.  He told her it wasn't his birthday until his party started.  But when he walked into the kitchen and saw a candle lit in his donut, he got excited and said, "Wow!  It really IS my birthday!"
We had a family party at Jungle Bungle and Nash chose to bring along his friend Manny.  The theme?  Transformers of course!

Nash is no longer taking naps on a regular basis but is going to bed in his own bed at night and doing great.  He crashes pretty quickly after his head hits the pillow.  He obviously loves Transformers and still loves to color.  He can be very sensitive if he thinks he hurt someone's feelings and sometimes even apologizes again a day or two later.  I showed him the pictures of when he was born.  The next day he wanted to know if it hurt when the doctors cut my tummy.  I told him they gave me some really awesome medicine first so it didn't hurt at all.  On the other hand, he can also throw a mad tantrum if needed.  He tells us "I love you" on a regular basis.  He asks us to help him say his prayers at night.  He loves Sunday school and playing with the other kids at the gym.  His favorite movie right now is "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs."  He likes to wrestle with Nolan and Daddy.  He puts his blanket on my tummy so he can "keep the baby warm."  His favorite food is Strawberry Poptarts.  He is writing his numbers and loves playing on his new LeapPad.  His preschool teacher emailed me the other day and said that they enjoy having Nash at school because he adds humor to their mornings.  He cracks us up on a regular basis too.  He's pretty chatty.  He goes on and on about something and may even make up some details but tells it like it's fact.  A future salesman like his Daddy.  We signed Nash up for tee ball this spring and he is excited that Jason will be his coach.

Dear Nash,
You are growing up so fast but we are all enjoying the ride SO much.  You amaze us every day at all of the new things you are learning.  You make us very proud to be your parents.  You are an awesome "big" boy.  You have a way of making everyone around you smile.  We are so thankful God chose us to be your family.
Love,
Mom

Little Miss Claire

Meet my newest niece, Claire Elizabeth.

She is such a little doll.  Will and Daniele did a spectacular job.  She was born February 8th around 12:05pm via cesarean.  She was 7 pounds 4 oz and 20 inches long.  She has fuzzy, dark hair and the cutest, wrinkly feet you've ever seen.

She is Nash and Nolan's 9th cousin but their first cousin locally, and their first cousin on my side of the family.  They have not been able to meet her yet but they have seen pictures.  I showed Nash her picture again the morning after she was born.  I asked him if he knew who it was.  He said, "Yeah!  Belle!  Clairabelle!"  I think he's been watching too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  :0)  We are so excited that she is finally here!

Cold Hands, Warm Tummy

We have really had a mild winter and I'm not complaining at all.  We actually had a few days where it approached 60 degrees.  My kind of winter!  When the snow did decide to fall, I sucked it up and went outside to play with the boys.

YUMMO!

Bye Bye First Tri

I'm at 14 weeks now..out of my first trimester.  It wasn't the most pleasant so I'm welcoming my second trimester with open arms.  Hiccup is the size of a lemon, weighing 1.5 oz.  He or she is able to make facial expressions and grasp.  Amazing stuff for such a little person.

We had an ultrasound on January 25th at 12.5 weeks which I wasn't expecting.  Doctor recommended one due to my previous c-section.  The baby was so active, I could have watched that screen all day.

When I was pregnant with Nash, Jason bought an ultrasound monitor so we could listen to his heartbeat.  We got it out the other day so the boys could hear Hiccup.
Thump thump..thump thump
The boys seem to have swapped their wishes regarding a sibling gender.  Nash is now saying he would like a sister and Nolan is voting for another bro.

Silly Sleepers

I came across a few pictures that I took recently of the boys crashing in various places.  I must share.

Nash obviously tired of shopping

Nolan is upstairs napping right now and Nash has a friend over.  They wanted the Transformer costumes so I told them I would sneak into Nolan's room to get them.  I quickly realized that wasn't going to happen.  Nolan shut his door and set up camp right next to it so I can't open the door more than a few inches.  I could hear him sawing logs right inside the door.  Too cute.
