Happy 4th Birthday Nash!

Nash turned 4 on February 23rd.  He has been talking about turning 4 for quite some time now, so when the big day finally arrived, he was so happy!  Nash and Nolan spent the night at Nana and Papa's house the night before.  When Nash woke up, Nana started singing Happy Birthday to him.  He told her it wasn't his birthday until his party started.  But when he walked into the kitchen and saw a candle lit in his donut, he got excited and said, "Wow!  It really IS my birthday!"
We had a family party at Jungle Bungle and Nash chose to bring along his friend Manny.  The theme?  Transformers of course!

Nash is no longer taking naps on a regular basis but is going to bed in his own bed at night and doing great.  He crashes pretty quickly after his head hits the pillow.  He obviously loves Transformers and still loves to color.  He can be very sensitive if he thinks he hurt someone's feelings and sometimes even apologizes again a day or two later.  I showed him the pictures of when he was born.  The next day he wanted to know if it hurt when the doctors cut my tummy.  I told him they gave me some really awesome medicine first so it didn't hurt at all.  On the other hand, he can also throw a mad tantrum if needed.  He tells us "I love you" on a regular basis.  He asks us to help him say his prayers at night.  He loves Sunday school and playing with the other kids at the gym.  His favorite movie right now is "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs."  He likes to wrestle with Nolan and Daddy.  He puts his blanket on my tummy so he can "keep the baby warm."  His favorite food is Strawberry Poptarts.  He is writing his numbers and loves playing on his new LeapPad.  His preschool teacher emailed me the other day and said that they enjoy having Nash at school because he adds humor to their mornings.  He cracks us up on a regular basis too.  He's pretty chatty.  He goes on and on about something and may even make up some details but tells it like it's fact.  A future salesman like his Daddy.  We signed Nash up for tee ball this spring and he is excited that Jason will be his coach.

Dear Nash,
You are growing up so fast but we are all enjoying the ride SO much.  You amaze us every day at all of the new things you are learning.  You make us very proud to be your parents.  You are an awesome "big" boy.  You have a way of making everyone around you smile.  We are so thankful God chose us to be your family.
Love,
Mom
