Project "Crossroads"

One of the things I wanted to plant in the garden this year was sweet potatoes.  We were at the store looking for those darn seeds and could not find them anywhere.  Turns out, they don't grow from seeds silly!  You either have to grow your own slips or buy them on the internet.  This is how our science experiment started.  We first cut a few sweet potatoes in half and set them in water just like the picture on the internet.  After a few weeks and some patience, this is what we ended up with.

It actually worked!  We went back out to the farm this weekend to check on the garden and plant the sweet potatoes.  We were pleasantly surprised to see a few corn plants coming up and the vegetables seem to be doing great!

We feel blessed to have this land and the opportunity to work on this family project together.  We hope to have plenty of fruits and veggies to share with our friends and neighbors.
